Product and Operating Features

Unlike other rivaling products in the market, this mower uses two removable, high-capacity 56V MaxLithium batteries. The WORX WG788, another 19-Inch mower from the same company, is powered by a single 36V lead-acid battery.

Powered by two 56V detachable MaxLithium batteries, the manufacturer claims that this mower provides gas-like power performance. This unit is also equipped with Intellicut technology to ensure you have the power to tackle tougher lawn conditions.

The 19-Inch comes mower comes with two settings: Power and Eco. For everyday use, set the IntelliCut Dial to Eco mode. Set the dial to Power when conditions call for more torque. This comes in handy when cutting dense or overgrown grass.

Each battery takes 120 minutes to fully charge. Depending on conditions, the WG771 can handle up to 9,400 sq. ft. on a single charge. Located on the mower’s handle is an integrated battery-level indicator to assist in determining remaining charge.

The WORX WG771 is a 3-in-1 mowing machine, meaning it allows you to mulch, bag or side-discharge the grass clippings. The dual edge mulching blade allows for natural lawn fertilization by cutting grass into very small clippings.

Another feature that you may find useful is the pivoting caster front wheels that make it very maneuverable. You can lock the wheels in a straight position when moving sideways on an incline.

When it comes to cutting height, you can adjust the blade to cut heights in 7 increments, beginning at 1-1/4 inches right up to 4 inches. There are an adjustment lever to adjust the front wheel height and an adjustment lever to adjust the rear of the mower height.

Other features of the mower include a garden hose washout connection, and a fully collapsible handle for compact, stand-up storage.

Two batteries (WA3555) and one charger (WA3859) are included in the box. The mower is also shipped with a 1.4 bushels (50L) grass collection bag, mulch plug, and side-discharge chute.

WORX WG771 Pros
Many users have been pleased with its cutting performance. Some have argued that the performance is comparable to gas powered mowers. In terms of maneuverability, the free-swivel wheels make navigation easy. While not self-propelled, customer feedback suggests that it is not a chore to push. Another positive point of this mower is it folds up and stores upright very easily, saving a lot of storage space.

WORX WG771 Cons
Some reviewers have found that the hose attachment for under-the-deck cleaning is not as effective as expected. Other negative reviews have been made in relation to the charging system. The charger only can charge one battery at a time. Another thing to keep in mind is the that based on the customer feedback the battery lasts about 30-40 minutes on Eco mode. You may need to get extra battery packs if you need to mow more than a quarter acre at a time.

The WORX WG771 3-in-1 cordless mower is not for yard. But if what you need is a powerful, compact battery-operated lawn mower which is easy to maneuver, then this lawn equipment is worth considering. Although it is not the most affordable 19-inch cordless lawn mower on the market, the inclusion of lithium-ion batteries, torque-on-demand system, caster wheels, and the dual-edge mulching blade justify its price.
